Does facial laser work for hormonal hair or PCOS?
Yes, but expect to need more sessions (8–10) and occasional maintenance, because hormones keep stimulating new follicles. The doctor will explain what is realistic at your consultation.
Will it make hair grow back thicker?
No. In rare cases fine, light hair near the treated area can be stimulated (paradoxical hypertrichosis); choosing the right settings minimises this, and it is treatable.
Can I wear make-up afterwards?
Mineral make-up from the next day. Keep the area clean and use SPF 50 daily during your course.
How do I prepare?
Shave the area 24 hours before, avoid waxing or plucking for 4 weeks, and no sun exposure or fake tan for 2–4 weeks before and after. Come with clean skin, free of creams and deodorant.
